(Last letter from Druid prior to being captured)
“Brother, I am making good time and should arrive in the city within a fortnight or so. Travel has been swift and uneventful, mostly in Tiger form over these open lands. I’m still needing to rest every few hours, but I feel my mastery over Wildshaping continues to grow and I believe you will be proud of my improvements when I return.
I did encounter one mountainous area unlike anything I’ve seen before on the island. It was actually easier for me to fly over, than climb in Spider form, can you imagine that? Though with only one minute worth of flight-time, I really had to make it count.
It’s still foreign to me that we could not speak about the specifics of this task; I dislike having to trust the priests of Pelor. As mere mortals, they can’t understand the ways of us Divine. So, to have to listen to them is, frankly, a bit insulting. But I know you, brother, and know that if you say this is the way… then this must be the way. I’m sure I will understand shortly. Though “High Priestess” Sasha? The Humans of these lands have such adorable titles.
The Goodberries I have been eating, although nourishing, have grown increasingly bland and unfulfilling. I need greater sustenance but do not want to waste time gathering food and nutrients. Word from fellow travelers tells of a shop near my path that sells quality rations and fresh food, including nuts and even some fruit. They called it ‘Wõrd’s Goods’. I believe I’m going to stop in quickly and trade.
Little Hawk is going to be very tired after travelling this message to you, I would be grateful if you could bath and feed her well. She’s been vital to my travels, and I would like her to be rewarded for it.
Until my next letter,
brother”
